My journey began in Cameroon, grew into a professional dream in Minnesota, and found its home in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Today, DJ Blast237 is a trusted DJ and MC brand built on passion, versatility, professionalism, and gratitude.

The Journey
What started with a love for music became a life devoted to bringing people, cultures, and celebrations together.
Growing up in Cameroon, West Africa, I regularly helped my parents at their local bar. Surrounded by different sounds, cultures, and musical genres, I discovered how music could bring people together. What began as curiosity quickly became a genuine passion.
While attending university, I began DJing friends’ house parties for free. I had no professional equipment—just a laptop, VirtualDJ, and the desire to create unforgettable moments. My first paid booking gave me the confidence to believe this passion could become something greater. From 2010 to 2013, I performed at events across Cameroon and built my skills one celebration at a time.
After moving to the United States, a meaningful conversation in Minnesota changed everything. While visiting my uncle Peter, I shared my DJ experience and my dream of continuing the journey in America. With the encouragement of Uncle Peter, his wife, and my late friend Don Prince—may his soul continue to rest in peace—that dream began to take shape.
One week later, Uncle Peter purchased our first set of professional sound equipment. Soon afterward, we booked a graduation celebration for $300. That event marked the official beginning of DJ Blast237 in the United States.
After beginning fully in Minnesota, DJ Blast237 moved to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. With more than 14 years of experience, I have had the privilege of celebrating different cultures and creating lasting memories at weddings, corporate events, birthdays, graduations, and private celebrations.
DJ Blast237 is more than a DJ service. We are storytellers, shaping the soundtrack of every celebration. From soulful elegance to high-energy excitement, every experience is designed to match the moment, connect the crowd, and keep the dance floor alive.
